Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 11:00 am -8:00 pm
Friday, Saturday, 11:00 am - 9:00 pm
Sunday 11:00 am - 8:00 pm

 


All swim meets begin at 6:30 pm unless otherwise specified.

SWIM PRACTICE SCHEDULE:
Silver and Gold 9:30 to 11 am
            *Typically Silver is age 9 to 12, and Gold is ages 13 and up
Bronze 9:30 to 10:45 am
*Typically Bronze is 8 and under.
Practice days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

2021 POOL SEASON

We are so excited to have a “normal” year ahead and can’t wait to see everyone enjoying some sun and fun!
A few friendly reminders regarding sign-in and guests at the pool.
 AQUATIC CENTER
  1. MEMBER SAFETY IS THE LIFEGUARDS’ TOP PRIORITY. Lifeguard instruction must always be adhered to.
  2. All members must sign in at the pool entry gate, the North gate entrance by the member parking lot. Members must also sign in ALL guests, including non-member relatives, children of members age 26 or older who are not members themselves, and grandchildren.  The aquatic committee has decided that each member household (a household consists of the primary member, their spouse, and children all together as one unit) may only host the same guest four (4) times in the same calendar month. The aquatic committee has also decided that grandchildren, who come as guests of their grandparents, are allowed unlimited visits per month if they are accompanied by their grandparents. Any questions or concerns should be brought to the attention of Joe Ciccone, GM/COO.
  3. Guest fees are assessed at the time of each guest visit, as follows:  Pool guest fee $12.00 per guest; grandchildren $5.00.   
  4. Children eight years or younger must be accompanied by a parent, or a responsible sitter age 13 or older.
  5. All swimmers must pass a deep-water test to swim alone in the deep end.
  6. Running or horseplay is not permitted.
  7. Only the PFC basketball and approved soft water balls are permitted at the pool. All ball play may be restricted based on pool activity.
  8. No tennis balls, footballs, or Frisbees are permitted at any time.
  9. Diving in the shallow end is not permitted.
  10. Flotation devices that obstruct the view of the bottom of the pool are prohibited.
  11. Swimming near or beneath the diving board is not permitted.
  12. Only one person allowed on the diving board at a time.
  13. Previous diver must be on the side of the pool before the next diver can proceed.
  14. No one is allowed in the water until 30 minutes has lapsed since the last thunder or lightning occurrence, and only at the lifeguard’s signal to re-enter the pool.
  15. Parents or guardians are responsible for their children at all areas of the aquatic complex, but particularly at the tot pool. Gates surrounding the tot pool will always remain closed.
  16. State law only allows food on the Poolside Cafe’ patio area.
  17. The pool will close one hour before the start of all swim meets.
  18. State law allows only waterproof diapers in the pool.
  19. Playing in the parking lot is prohibited.
  20. All denim clothing is prohibited (including denim pants, shorts, jackets, and skirts).
  21. Members should never reprimand a club employee; all input should be directed to the pool manager or general manager.
  22. Cell phone use is discouraged.

Guest Policy

1) Members must sign in at the pool registration desk each day you attend the pool facility.
2) Members must register each guest individually.
3) Pool gates will not be opened until the Lifeguard is on duty. No early entries.
4) Caregivers are permitted unlimited free access when accompanying members’ children.

20) At the pool, cell-phone use permitted for necessary personal use only, provided other member privacy is respected.
Protracted, repeat business calling is not permitted.
21) No muscle shirts, or sleeveless shirts for boys and men.
REPEAT VIOLATORS OF ABOVE RULES WILL BE BENCHED.

Meet Your Aquatics Director

John Mazurek

Aquatics Director

John Mazurek, Aquatics Director, is originally from East Vandergrift, PA and a 1996 graduate from Kiski Area High School, where he still holds 2 school swimming records.  He continued his swimming career at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated in 2000 with a degree in Elementary Education.  He has been a faculty member at the Apollo Ridge Elementary School as a 3rd grade teacher for the past 10 years.  John went onto complete his Master In Education degree through Gannon University in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment.

John is no stranger to managing pools and coaching, as he spent numerous summers doing just that.  He was an employee at Hill Crest Country Club for 11 years, and led the team to multiple WPCCSA Championships.  He was also the Aquatics Director at Fox Chapel Golf Club.  Additioinally, John has also coached Kisk Area Junior and Senior High School swim teams, and has been the head coach for Valley High School swim team in the past.  He currently resides in Plum with his wife Carla and their three children.
