2020 Pool Information

Dear Valued PFC Members,
As we draw closer to Memorial Day weekend, I’m sure many of you have questions about the utilization of the pool and the challenges presented by Covid-19.  The good news is our Aquatic’s Committee has been meeting virtually and is making every effort to open the pool this summer.  We are optimistic we will have a pool season at PFC; however, we do acknowledge it may look and feel different from prior summers.
Right now, we do not have many specifics to pass along, but we do know:

  • We must follow the guidelines provided by Governor Wolf's Office and those of Allegheny County’s Board of Health.  We are hoping they publish those guidelines soon.

  • In an effort to gain more insight we are in continuous discussions with Allegheny County’s Board of Health, other local clubs, the Club Association of America and the Pool Management Corporation.

  • The club’s staff, along with the Aquatics Committee, are formulating plans to ensure maximum utilization of the pool, while focusing on providing a safe environment for both employees and members.

  • Unfortunately, we do know that the 2020 Swim Team Season has been cancelled due to restrictions on large gatherings.

We will continue to provide you more information as news comes available to us. As you know this is a very fluid situation and we as a committee are staying on top of all new developments. We appreciate your support and look forward to brighter days ahead.
Stay safe and healthy,
Dave Weber, Aquatic Committee Chairman
and your Aquatic Committee
